The Bartlesville Area History Museum is excited to announce our, "January Lunch and Learn" event will feature a guest speaker, from The George Miksch Sutton Avian Research Center. The Sutton Center is a leader in avian research and conservation, conducting intensive, conservation-oriented, ecological field research on declining grassland birds, developing and applying techniques for the reintroduction and monitoring of Southern Bald Eagles, managing the successful captive breeding of endangered species and performing bird surveys throughout Oklahoma and across the world.
Join us Friday, January 17th, from 12:00 p.m. - 1 p.m. as we hear the history of Sutton and the fundamental conservation work they are doing! Attendees are encouraged to enjoy the museum’s current exhibit, “Picking Favorites,” on display from January 13th through April 14th! Tables and chairs will be set up for people who bring a lunch and little ones may enjoy our history coloring station.
The Museum is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (closed on weekends and holidays) at 401 S. Johnstone Avenue, 5th Floor. Museum entry is free but donations are always welcome.
